McGuire Island

McGuire Island (64°46′S 64°24′W / 64.767°S 64.4°W / -64.767; -64.4) is an island in the northeast portion of the Joubin Islands. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Thomas J. McGuire, Oiler in RV Hero in her first voyage to Antarctica and Palmer Station in 1968.
