McCarthy Ridge (74°37′S 163°3′E / 74.617°S 163.05°E) is a broad, mainly ice-covered ridge with steep sides forming the east wall of Carnein Glacier, in the foothills of southeast Eisenhower Range, in Victoria Land. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1955-63. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Peter C. McCarthy, biolab manager at McMurdo Station, winter party 1966.
