Maybe I'll Come Home in The Spring was a 1971 Television Movie for ABC.
It starred Sally Field as Denise 'Dennie' Miller, a young girl who returns to her parents' suburban home after a year of living with the hippies. Her parents where played by Eleanor Parker and Jackie Cooper, and Lane Bradbury played her younger sister, Susie, who also is following in her footsteps, wanting the idealistic hippie life but making some rash decisions in the process. David Carradine played the boyfriend of Dennie, and he comes back to try and win her back. Linda Ronstadt is heard on several of the songs used in the movie. At the end of the movie, Susie runs away from home as Dennie had earlier in the movie. This was originally aired on February 16, 1971.
