Mission

Its Mission is to provide opportunities for disabled people and people affected by leprosy to achieve social and economic integration by trading.

Goal

To provide opportunities for disabled people and their dependents, especially those affected by leprosy, to be rehabilitated in order to become self-sufficient

Work

MESH buys and sells producer groups‘ handicrafts, provides market assistance, product development and training to artisans. Concerned that many artisans are still living below the Absolute Poverty Line even though they have had continuous work for several years, MESH, with financial support from IM SOIR, is running a Fair Wages Project to bring to MESH suppliers two new tools that will help artisans calculate a better wage for their craftwork thereby improving livelihoods.

In 2008 MESH opened Design Studio which provides quality design and product development support. The designers conduct workshops for artisans in the studio or in the artisan’s places of work, or they provide distance design support.
