The Mauritius Ports Authority (MPA) is a state corporation founded by the government of Mauritius in 1998 as the sole regulator and manager of ports and port services, in Mauritius, an archipelago country in the Indian Ocean. Port Louis is the island group's most important port, and the city is the location of the MPA. It is a privately-held state corporation, with its board of directors appointed by the Ministry of Tourism, Leisure and External Communications. [1]
