Maulana Syed Taj Mohammad Amrothi (Arabic: مولانا سيد تاج محمد امروتهي; Sindhi: حضرت تاج محمدد امروٽي) (born Amrot Shareef, Sukkur, Sindh, 1857; died 1929) was a scholar, freedom fighter, and educationalist.[1][2]
He translated the Quran into Sindhi, gave lectures, wrote books of poetry, and edited the monthly journal Akhwan-ul-Muslmeen. A proponent of the non-cooperation movement in India, he was a leader of the Khilafat Movement and a founding member of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind. [3]
