Mazhar Ali Azhar

Maulana Mazhar Ali Azhar (13 March 1895 – 4 November 1974)[1] was the leader of Majlis-e-Ahrar-ul-Islam[2] and a political figure in the history of Sub-Continent India. He was also a founder of Majlis-e-Ahrar-e-Islam.[citation needed] He was elected three times to the Punjab Assembly, serving from 1924–26 and 1934–45.[3] He also run the Tehreek-e-Madh-e-Sahabah in Lakhnao India.[citation needed]
