Matthew Saunders (born 12 September 1989) is a professional English footballer who is a free agent after being released by Fulham at the end of the 2010–11 season.

Career

Saunders graduated from Fulham's academy.^[1] On 1 January 2010, he joined League Two club Lincoln City on a one-month loan deal along with teammate Michael Uwezu.^[2][3] He made his professional debut a day later, on 2 January for Lincoln in their 4–0 away loss to Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup Third Round.^[4][5] Saunders returned to Fulham on the 1 February 2010, after appearing twice for Lincoln in the league.^[6] Saunders later rejoined Lincoln City on loan and made a total of 18 appearances for the Imps, scoring three goals.
