The Sound of Animals FightingWebsite theautumns.com Matthew Kelly is the vocalist and guitarist of the indie rock band The Autumns.
Kelly's output with The Autumns began in 1997 with the EP Suicide at Strell Park and the full-length The Angel Pool.
In addition to his work with The Autumns, Kelly made an appearance on all three albums of the experimental rock band the Sound of Animals Fighting, providing vocals on "Act II: All is Ash or the Light Shinning Through It", "My Horse Must Lose", "The Heretic", and "On the Occasion of Wet Snow". Kelly also performed with the band during their four live performances throughout California, and appeared on their live DVD We Must Become the Change We Want to See. Kelly opened the show performing "The Heretic" a cappella, then later sang and played guitar during "My Horse Must Lose". During "This Heat", Kelly, along with Anthony Green, Craig Owens, and Bradley Bell, danced on stage, dressed in identical masks and black cloaks.
Kelly was a participant in Revolution on Canvas, the first volume of the Warner Books compendium, submitting lyrics along with his fellow band mate Frankie Koroshec.
