(2009–present)Matthew "Matt" Lauria (born June 22, 1984) is an American actor, musician and director. He made his television debut on the NBC comedy 30 Rock in 2007. He is best known for his roles as Luke Cafferty on Friday Night Lights and Caleb Evers on The Chicago Code.[1]

Early life and career
Lauria was born in Alexandria, Virginia, the son of Larry Lauria and Tricia Lauria. Lauria has two sisters named Kristen and Ally Lauria. As a child Matt lived in Ireland for five years with his family. After moving back to the states, Lauria graduated from Dr. Phillips High School in 2000. After high school he attended Florida School of the Arts and then went on to attend University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Lauria also plays the electric guitar and specialized in blues-rock.
In 2009, Lauria married musician Michelle Armstrong.
Acting career
Within a few weeks of moving to New York City, New York, Lauria successfully received the guest starring role of Winthrop on NBC's 30 Rock, marking his television debut. Lauria didn't receive another role until a year later where he was cast as Jake Lally on NBC's crime drama Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
In early 2008, he finally landed an official series regular role on NBC's comedy romance Lipstick Jungle as Roy Merritt, where he co-starred with Brooke Shields, Andrew McCarthy and One Tree Hill's Robert Buckley. Lauria's character was written off the show after thirteen episodes. After being cut from the show, Lauria took a brief break from television and performed in the 2009 short film 8 Easy Steps as VeggieLite. Upon returning to television, Lauria landed the series-regular role of Luke Cafferty in the Emmy-award winning sports drama Friday Night Lights, for which he moved to Pflugerville, Texas in order to film. Lauria remained on the show until its series finale in 2011. Lauria has also recently been cast in Season 5 of the hit show Burn Notice, and will portray Ethan, a discharged soldier seeking help for his sister.
After finishing Friday Night Lights, Lauria moved to Chicago, Illinois after being cast in the series regular role of Caleb Evers in Fox's crime drama The Chicago Code. The show was canceled after one season.[2]
