Materiana

Materiana was an ancient Roman city in Byzacena, Africa proconsularis, in the modern Sahel region of Tunisia.

Ecclesiastical history

Materiana was an episcopal see of Roman Africa and remains a titular see of the Roman Catholic Church.^[1]
