Matěj Vydra (born 1 May 1992) is a Czech football striker.

Vydra plays as a striker and was transferred from FC Vysočina Jihlava to FC Baník Ostrava in January 2010 at the age of 17 for 20 million CZK.[1] He spent half-season in Baník Ostrava, where he scored four goals in 14 matches. In June 2010 he moved to Italian Serie A side Udinese for 100 million CZK. In late September 2010 he was voted by sport journalists the Czech Revelation of the Year for his performances in Baník Ostrava in the 2009/2010 season.[2]

He has played for the Czech youth national teams since the under-16 level.
