Matawan and Holmdel Turnpike

The Matawan and Holmdel Turnpike was a proposed turnpike in New Jersey, running west from a point on the Holmdel and Keyport Turnpike to Middletown Point, now Matawan. The proposed route may have included Church Street (County Route 45) and Bethany Road.

The Matawan and Holmdel Turnpike was chartered on March 11, 1862.[1] It was never built.
