Maryland Comptroller election, 2010

The Maryland Comptroller election of 2010, was held on November 2, 2010 to determine the next comptroller for the state of Maryland. Incumbent Peter Franchot, who defeated the previous Comptroller, William Donald Schaefer, in the 2006 election, has been an outspoken advocate against the recent slots referendum as well as against what he calls reckless government spending. He defeated Republican nominee William Campbell to win a second term.
