She also starred in the NBC sitcom Perfect Couples.

Life and career
Ellis has appeared on a number of television shows, including Cold Case, Without A Trace, House M.D., and Reno 911!
In 2008 she wrote and portrayed the lead role of Olive in the independent film A Quiet Little Marriage. Ellis and Artemis Pebdani (Artemis on Always Sunny) wrote and starred together in the stage show "Mother May I Dance With Mary Jane's Fist? A Lifetime Original Play" at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles. In addition, Ellis and Pebdani are members of the L.A. based performance group Discount Cruise to Hell.[1]
In May 2010, NBC announced that Ellis would star in the upcoming television series Perfect Couples. The romantic comedy premiered on NBC on Thursday, January 20, 2011.[2] NBC officially canceled Perfect Couples on May 13, 2011.[3][4]
Ellis is married to actor Charlie Day. Day writes, produces and plays the role of Charlie Kelly on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. On the show, Charlie's unrequited obsession with Ellis' character is a recurring theme. The couple married on March 4, 2006. In July 2011 it became known that they are expecting their first child in December 2011.[5]
