Martin Lawrence Galleries was founded in 1975 and operates 12 fine art galleries in the United States specializing in original paintings, sculpture and limited edition graphics.
Martin Lawrence has an substantial collection of artwork, all of which is company owned, including works of art by Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Sam Francis, and Keith Haring. Martin Lawrence Galleries is the publisher and representative for Erté, Robert Deyber, Liudmila Kondakova, Felix Mas, Philippe Bertho, Kerry Hallam, and René Lalonde.[1]
Martin Lawrence has also held many stores relating to pop art and decor. One of their more famous acquisitions was the store Think Big!. The store however was sold and soon disbanded to pay for Martin Lawrence Galleries' mounting debt.[2] The Think Big! product line has now been rejuvenated by GreatBigStuff.
