Martin Gottlieb Born January 10, 1948
Brooklyn, New YorkOccupation editor Notable credit(s) The New York Times, Daily News (New York) Martin Gottlieb is the Global Editions Editor of the New York Times.[1] Prior to that, Gottlieb served as Associate Managing Editor,[2] investigative journalist, Deputy Culture Editor, and National Project Editor.[3] Gottlieb was Managing Editor at the Daily News (New York) and Editor-in-Chief at the Village Voice.[4]
Education
Gottlieb attended Queens College and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.[5] He received a Loeb Fellowship from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 1979.
He has taught journalism at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism[6] and at NYU.[7] In 2008, Gottlieb was the James H. Ottoway Professor of Journalism at SUNY New Paltz[8] and, in 2009, he was a Princeton University Council of Humanities Professor of Journalism.[3]
