The Martha's Vineyard Times is a weekly newspaper published on the island of Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, United States. It is one of two broadsheet newspapers published in Martha's Vineyard;[1] its competitor for readership is the Vineyard Gazette.[2].

History

The Martha's Vineyard Times was founded in the spring of 1984.[3]

Ownership and Editorial Staff

Martha's Vineyard Times Corporation Inc., owned by Peter and Barbara Oberfest, publishes the content of the weekly and the newspaper's website. Doug Cabral serves as its main editor.[3] Nelson Sigelman is Managing Editor of News, Don Lyons is Sports Editor, and Whit Griswold is Copy Editor for the publication.[4]

Content

The content of the newspaper is broken up into different sections: News, Opinion, On Island, Classified, Real Estate, The Calendar, Activities, Eat & Drink, Come & Stay, Shopping, Services, Home & Garden, and Weddings.[5]
