BCE Predecessor Tang Shuyu Successor Marquis Wu of Jin Father Tang Shuyu Mother unknown Born unknown Died unknown Marquis Xie of Jin (simplified Chinese: 晋侯燮; traditional Chinese: 晉侯燮; pinyin: Jìn Hóuxiè), Ancestral name is Ji(姬), given name is Xie (燮) or Xiefu (燮父),was the second ruler of the state of Jin during the Western Zhou Dynasty. Marquis Xie was the son of Tang Shuyu. After his father died, he ascended as the ruler of the State of Tang. During his reign, he changed the name of the state of Tang to Jin. He also changed the capital from Tang (唐) to Jinyang (晉陽).
After he died, his son Ningzu became the next ruler of Jin, Marquis Wu of Jin.
