History and growth

MarketResearch.com, Inc. was created in 1998 by Rob Granader through the acquisition of the Published Products division of FIND/SVP (then part of the worldwide SVP network), and FINDEX, the worldwide directory of market research reports.[2] The Published Products division included the Packaged Facts, FIND/SVP (now Kalorama Information) and Specialists in Business Information (now SBI) brand lines, as well as The Information Catalog, which was the print predecessor to the current online collection.[3]

In 2000 MarketResearch.com, Inc. acquired Newsletters.com, a Rockville, MD based aggregator of business information.[4]

In July 2005, MarketResearch.com expanded its reach into the technology space by acquiring its chief online competitor, MindBranch, Inc.[5]

In May 2007 MarketResearch.com acquired Profound, from Thomson Corporation's Legal Division. This acquisition dramatically grew the size of MarketResearch.com, adding renewable revenue and Profound’s ability to offer sliced content for customers.[6]

In June 2007 MarketResearch.com also purchased Simba Information, a market intelligence provider for the information, media, and publishing industries.

In 2007, MarketResearch.com made the EContent 100 List as one of the top 100 digital content companies.[7]

In March 2008, MarketResearch.com made the SmartCEO Future 50 list as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in the greater Washington DC area.[8]

In 2007, 2008, and 2009, MarketResearch.com made the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in the United States.[9][10][11]
