Mark Powley (Born 4 October 1963 Chelmsford, Essex United Kingdom is a British actor.
Powley is best known for his work on television, most notably for appearing in 88 episodes of police drama The Bill as P.C Melvin (1987–1990) and as builder Tom in BBC sitcom Next of Kin for 2 series (1995–1996).
He has made other notable appearances in Casualty, Game On, Emmerdale and sitcom Life of Riley.
Further to this he has made several one off appearances in many television shows including Holby City, New Tricks and Peak Practice.[1]
He played the original Johnno Dean in the long-running UK drama series Hollyoaks as a recurring character from October 2002, before leaving in April 2003 and being replaced by Colin Wells when the series producers' decision to give Johnno a full storyline clashed with Powley's commitment towards filming of the TV movie Is Harry on the Boat?.
