Mixed martial arts career

Early career

Oshiro started his career with a 4–1 record in local promotions. He then joined Icon Sport, making his debut against Gene Gregor and defeating him via TKO (Punches).

Oshiro then won the Icon Sport Flyweight Championship by defeating Tyson Nam.

Elite XC

Oshiro then moved to EliteXC, as part of the ProElite group, who also owned Icon Sport. Oshiro made his promotional debut against Nui Wheeler at EliteXC: Uprising. Oshiro defeated him via submission (rear naked choke) in the first round.

He then faced future World Extreme Cagefighting competitor Chris Cariaso. Oshiro defeated him in the first round via TKO (Punches).

Oshiro next faced Chris Willems at EliteXC: Return of the King. Oshiro defeated him via submission (triangle choke) despite Willems attempting a slam to get out.[1]

Oshiro returned to Icon Sport against Bao Quach for Icon Sport's 140-pound North American title.[2] Quach won via unanimous decision.

Outside of ProElite promotion, Oshiro fought Felipe Chavez, a relative of Diego Sanchez in the co-main event of the "Up N Up 3" card.[3] Oshiro defeated Chavez via submission (triangle choke) less than a minute into the second round. This performance earnt Oshiro a shot in Bellator.

Bellator Fighting Championship

Oshiro fought in the Bellator promotion, at Bellator 20, against Nik Mamalis. Oshiro was defeated after 1:29 of round 2 via submission (rear naked choke).

Despite the loss, Oshiro was signed to take part in the Bellator Season Three Bantamweight tournament,[4] though for unknown reasons, his participation never transpired.
