Marita Black is a British-born actor, singer and screenwriter. She is known for her work on the British TV series Grange Hill, in which she played the English teacher Ms Patti Janowitz in 1992. [1]

Lust Pollution
During the 1990s and early 2000s Black was the lead singer, under the stage name "Madame", in the band Lust Pollution, which played regular gigs at club Largo in Los Angeles's Fairfax District.[2]
Lust Pollution specialized in erotically charged lyrics full of double entendres, playing songs such as "Imagine I'm Twelve" "He Didn't Love Me Back", and "It's So Big".
The band enjoyed some broadcast success, giving performances at HBO's Aspen Comedy Festival and also on the cable TV show Comedy Central's "The After Hours Club". [3]
In 1998 the band produced a CD titled "Songs From a Moist Place".[4]
In an interview with rockazine.com, Black described the band as having been "born out of a bottle of scotch and a commitment to the audience having a f***ing great time".[5]
Current Projects
Black is currently working as a screen-writer, co-writing the film project Take Me to Your Leader, produced by Adam Sandler. [6]
