Maria Menendez,^[1] better known by her stage name Ryan Keely (born July 2, 1984 in Seattle, Washington),^[2] is an American pornographic actress, sex advice columnist, Penthouse Pet^[5] and former model of Latin descent.^[1]

Penthouse

Keely was named Penthouse magazine’s Pet of the Month in October 2009.^[5] She was named Runner-Up for Pet of the Year in March 2011, finishing behind Nikki Benz.^[6] Keely also writes a sex advice column called The Dirty Details for Penthouse’s sister publication, Penthouse Forum.^[7]

Personal life

Keely initially stated in August 2008 that Maria Menendez was her real name^[1] but later described the name simply as an old name she used for modeling.^[8] She describes her ethnic background as “a teeny bit Cuban” and “a very, very small part Hispanic”^[8] but has not elaborated on the rest of her ethnicity. Keely has had affairs with men and women in her personal life^[8][9] and a self-proclaimed “nerd”.^[7][10] She has stated that while on camera, she will only have sex with women;^[11] and she dislikes porn actresses that are gay-for-pay.^[9] Keely was close friends with fellow porn actress Haley Paige, who was murdered in August 2007.^[11]

Other ventures

In March 2011, Keely was named as the head of the women’s division of sex toy company Fleshlight.^[12]
