Biography
Despite being born in Tokyo, Okamoto was actually raised in Hirakata, Osaka, where she also spent her Elementary School years. In 1961, she made her deput for performing arts activities in comedy. In 1970, she moved back to Tokyo, with subsequent transfer to the headquarters of the city where she changed her name from Noda Mutsumi to her current name. In 1971, she had starred in the comedy film Tora-san's Love Call as one of the extra characters.
In 1971, she had made her voice acting deput in the anime cartoon series The Adventures of Hutch the Honeybee, where she was marked as a guest. Her major works were in Hana no Ko Lunlun and Yatterman. From the 1970's to the 1980's, she has appeared in many anime works produced by the Tatsunoko Production.
