Marejada (Portuguese: Marejada) – one of the most popular national brazilian celebrates (fiesta) in Itajai city (Portuguese: Itajaí), Satna Catarina state. This celebrate commenced as anniversary of the first disembarkation europian people from Portugal to the Brazil coast. Marejada calling from word “mar” (English: sea) and can be translated as Portugalization. Also this fiesta named as sea food celebrate due to fishing is a one of the main economic part of Itajai regions celebrate. The main food staff on this fiesta is sea food and the main kind of drink is bear – it is why this fiesta looking like bear makers celebrate. Also this fiesta is folklore of Brazil. Symbols of Marejada – fish in cap and human face playing accordion, shrimps on the plate, one glass of bear, dancing group in national clothes - painted on the souvenir plate from Marejada fiesta (see photo).

Marejada run every year in October. For example, this fiesta carried out from 8 to 18 of October, 2009. Due to anniversary of Portugalization it was from 8 to 24 of October, 2010.
