Markus Henriksen (born 25 July 1992) is a Norwegian football midfielder who currently plays for Rosenborg. He is the son of Rosenborg's assistant manager, Trond Henriksen.

Markus Henriksen came as a youth player from Trond to Rosenborg. He proved himself early as an exciting midfielder with a well-developed understanding of football. In addition, he had good basic skills and a very good endurance. He made his debut 10 May 2009 in a cup game against Gjøvik-Lyn, and debuted in the Premier League against Sandefjord 20 September 2009. During the autumn, he played enough games to become champions with Rosenborg in 2009, at the age of just 17 years. The following season he got his breakthrough when he became a regular fixture at Rosenborg A-team under Erik Hamrén and was allowed to continue when Nils Arne Eggen took over. He scored his first goal for Rosenborg against Odd Grenland on 11. April 2010. He scored two goals in the match as Rosenborg won 3–1.

In qualifying for the Champions League for the 2010/2011 season he scored his first goal in Europe with a 2–0 goal when Rosenborg beat Linfield 2–0 in the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League. Scouts from Werder Bremen attended to watch Henriksen. But the day after the sporting director in Rosenborg, Erik Hoftun, said Henriksen is not for sale and that he should continue his development in Rosenborg.

6. August 2010 Markus Henriksen extended his contact with Rosenborg to 12/31/2013.

International career

Henriksen played all three matches and scored one goal during the 2010 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship qualification.

On September 28, 2010, he was called up for the Norwegian national team for the first time. He made his debut on October 12, in an away friendly against Croatia, which Norway lost 1-2.
