Career
Marc Mysterio first became recognized in 2007 for his first single "Answer This" (featuring Linda Newman);.[4][5][6] Marc's debut release, 'Roll Wit It' was released in 2008 by Spinnin Records and featured the vocals of Chris Willis (singer of Guetta Anthems ‘Love Is Gone’ & ‘Gettin Over You’).
On January 2, 2009, Marc Mysterio and Téo Moss released a cover version of "One More Time" featuring the vocals of Yardi Don.[7] In a press release, Mysterio noted his reasoning for producing the cover was his difficulty in mixing the original in his DJ sets due to its slow tempo.
Marc Mysterio released "Tomorrow", featuring Samantha Fox, which debuted on radio worldwide on August 7, 2009 on stations worldwide, including: NRJ, Power 106, and Radio 538.[8][9][10] It has since been signed by Sony Music.[11]
His 2009 album release "Redemption" included collaborations with Samantha Fox, Gary Pine, Lillix, Tiff Lacey, Dhany, Chris Willis Shena and Yardi Don.
In 2010, TMZ[12] and Popeater reported that on August 23, 2010, Marc Mysterio filed a lawsuit against Brandy Norwood [13] seeking up to $6 million in damages.[14] According to reports, Brandy had been paid $10,000 as a side artist fee to feature on Marc Mysterio's debut album's lead single,[15] "Shout It Out".[13] The invoice and an email from her manager Ryan Ramsey confirming receipt of the funds have been published by British tabloid, Anorak.[16] but then backed out of the deal.[17] The lawsuit is ongoing, and a subpeona was issued by the court ordering copies of videotapes of conversations between Marc Mysterio and Brandy which were recorded by VH1 for her Family Business Season 2 Reality Show.[18] The single "Shout It Out" without Brandy has thus far peaked at #47 on Mediabase Canada Hot AC Radio Chart[19]
