Mapuche Student Federation

Mapuche Student Federation (Spanish: Federación Mapuche de Estudiantes abbr. FEMAE) is a nation wide students' union of indigenous Mapuche students in Chile. The union includes both university and secondery school students. José Ancalao (also spelled Ankalao) has often served as representative of the Mapuche Student Federation and has been FEMAE's spokesperson during the ongoing 2011 Chilean protests.
