Mandate Pictures was originally an independent film entertainment studio, founded in 2003. [1]
Today, Mandate Pictures is a full-service production and financing company, acquired by Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) in 2007. Mandate continues to operate as an independent brand delivering commercial and independent films worldwide. Its current President is Nathan Kahane. Mandate has financed, developed, packaged and produced films such as the Academy Award®-winning Juno (Best Original Screenplay, written by Diablo Cody), which generated $231 million worldwide, distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures in 2008.
