Manabe Akifusa

Manabe Akifusa (間部 詮房?, June 18, 1666 - August 7, 1720) was a feudal lord in Japan, and Ienobu's attendant.[1]

Biography

Akifusa Manabe was born in Edo, Japan on June 18, 1666 as a son of actor on the Japanese traditional play. Later, he served to the Edo Bakufu's 6th Shogun Tokugawa Ienobu. He was Sobayonin in the Edo Bakufu. He beacame Daimyo in Takasaki. He dominated the supreme power in the Edo Bakufu under the Shogun. Even the death of the Shogun Tokugawa Ienobu, he continued to own the supreme power in the Edo Bakufu under the 7th Shogun Tokugawa Ietsugu of the Edo Bakufu. After the death of 7th Shogun Tokugawa Ietsugu, he resigned the office in the Edo Bakufu/ Then, he was moved to Murakami, Echigo-koku by 8th Shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune of the Edo Bakufu.
