Malmgren Bay

Malmgren Bay (65°45′S 66°7′W / 65.75°S 66.117°W / -65.75; -66.117) is a bay indenting the west side of Renaud Island immediately north of Speerschneider Point, in the Biscoe Islands. First accurately shown on an Argentine government chart of 1957. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1959 for Finn A.E.J. Malmgren (1895–1928), Swedish author of an important study on the properties of sea ice, in 1927.
