Malaya Marutha is a 1986 Musical Kannada film starring Vishnuvardhan, Saritha and Madhavi in the lead roles . The film has been directed and written by Lalitha Ravi and produced by C. V. L Shastry under "Shastry Movies" production house. Vijaya Bhaskar has composed the soundtrack and the background score. The film released in the year 1986 and was declared a block buster musical hit.

The film is one of the widely appreciated films of Kannada cinema for its rich soundtrack backed with strong Carnatic music and Semi-classical music sung by the Veteran singers of South India. The movie also uplifts the highly popular Keerthanams of music giants like Muthuswami Dikshitar, Thyagaraja, Kanaka Dasa and Purandara Dasa. ^[1]

Plot

The story revolves around the 3 main leads of the film and their triangular love story. The entire film is shot among the picturesque locales of Shringeri and Kolluru in Karnataka.
