Makeni Ltd

Makeni Ltd was a Webcasting, Digital Rights Management and Consultancy company created in 2003 in the United Kingdom by Philip Haggar and Lee Atkinson.

Makeni's most notable clients included:

• BBC (Consultancy for live and archive encoding of National Radio for iPlayer);
• Bow Tie Television Ltd (Webcasting for the Greater London Authority);
• Channel 4 Radio;
• Cisco;
• Glastonbury and Reading festivals;
• The Telegraph;
• Sony Radio Awards;
• Viasat (Digital Rights Management for Uefa Champions League)

In 2007, Makeni was sold to Twofour and all the employees and clients transferred over to Twofour. By the beginning of 2009, most employees had left Twofour, including Lee Atkinson who is now Director of Digital Media at Bow Tie Television Ltd. Later that year, Bow Tie had transferred management of the webcasting of the Greater London Authority from Twofour to its own Digital Media division.
