It currently has about 800 students. Maiden High School is known for football. In the past, the team's have won about 20 championships. Maiden High School moved from an older building (which is now Maiden Middle School) to the newly built high school. The school contains an auditorium, auxiliary gym, a main gym, an auto shop, a wood shop, and a culinary arts shop. The school contains of a main circle, with 7 halls branching out. Maiden High School operates on a four block schedule. Each block is 90 minutes long and lunch is 22 minutes long. There are four lunch periods and every class has a 30 minute writing period. This period usually occurs before and/or after lunch.
Description
The school has an auto shop, a wood shop, a culinary arts shop, and a American football field. The school was built in 2006–2007 at a cost of $54,000,000. Sport programs at the school include football, soccer, tennis, softball, volleyball, baseball, and wrestling. Each sport has its own field or gym.[1]
