Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited is a public limited company promoted by the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, India.[2] The company's remit is to develop the use and integration of Information Technology in teaching, learning and educational management processes in particular and socio-economic transformative processes in general.

Since its establishment in 2001[3] it has focused on design, development and delivery of innovative eInfrastructure, eLearning, eGovernance, and eEmpowerment technologies, solutions and services to customers in Universities, Governments, and Communities.[4] Company has clocked 15% average increase in turnover year by year since inception.[citation needed] Its revenues for 2010-11 stood at INR262.00 crore (US$53.13 million).[citation needed]

Operations

Company has its registered office and operations & Development center at ICC Pune. It has offices in India and in its subsidiaries RKCL & MKCL Arabia. About 5000 Authorised Learning Centers are registered in Maharashtra, and it has a sister branch in Rajasthan named Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited.
