Jerrold Tarog (born Jerrold Viacrucis Tarog) is a multi-awarded Filipino film director, composer, writer, editor, and sound designer. All three films he has directed - Confessional, Mangatyanan, and Senior Year - have been critically acclaimed, receiving numerous awards.[1][2] His Short Film "Faculty" has become a viral hit on Facebook and other social networks. His work as editor, sound designer, and composer on other films have also earned him numerous awards and a reputation as one of the people-to-watch-out for in Philippine Cinema, whether independent or mainstream.[3]

Education
Tarog graduated from the UP Rural High School in Los Baños, Laguna and spent two years in the University of the Philippines Los Baños, before shifting to take a course at the College of Music at the University of the Philippines Diliman,[4] where he graduated with a degree in Music Composition, along with several semesters worth of coursework in film theory.[5]
