Gorenje Blato is a settlement in the Škofljica municipality in central Slovenia. It lies on the edge of the marshlands to the south of the capital Ljubljana, to the east of Pijava Gorica. The municipality is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]

There is a small chapel in the settlement, dating to the 17th century. It contains a wooden altar with a statute of Mary.[3]
