Dyment Island

Dyment Island (74°8′S 102°2′W / 74.133°S 102.033°W / -74.133; -102.033) is a small island lying 5 nautical miles (9 km) southwest of McKinzie Islands in the inner-central part of Cranton Bay. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-66. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after Donald I. Dyment, U.S. Navy, cook at Byrd Station, 1967.
