Virgin Electronics

Virgin Electronics

Virgin Electronics is a company owned by the Virgin Group that used to sell MP3 Players and accessories. Virgin Pulse was a Virgin branded company that Sir Richard Branson owned that sold CD Players, AM/FM Tuners, Phones, Headphones, and Digital Clocks. Early in 2005, they started selling MP3 Players and changed their name to Virgin Electronics and began selling MP3 Players exclusively.

Only months after introducing a 5GB player, the company discontinued it after failing to attract enough attention to the new product. While the web site is no longer available, the Virgin Electronics firmware can be downloaded from a PortalPlayer chipset [http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/mi4.html mi4 format archive] .
