Dungeon Master's Design Kit is a DM's aid with tips and tables for creating scenarios of all kinds.[1]
"Book I: Adventure Design" describes how to create an adventure scenario, and includes a brief sample.[1]
"Book II: Forms Book" includes several types of blank design forms.[1]
"Book III: Adventure Cookbook" consists of inspirational ideas for setting, plots, climaxes, red herrings, moral quandaries, and more.[1]
Publication history
The Dungeon Master's Design Kit was designed by Harold Johnson and Aaron Allston, with a cover by Keith Parkinson and interior illustrations by George Barr, and was published by TSR in 1988 as three 32-page books and an outer folder.[1]
Reception
Lawrence Schick, in his 1991 book Heroic Worlds, noted the similarities of some of the forms in Book II to those found in Wilmark Dynasty's Roomscapes, and called Books I and III "quite good".[1]
