Dunai is the district headquarters of Dolpa District in Nepal. The town is situated on the banks of the Thuli Bheri River at an altitude of around 2,000 meters.

At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 1773 persons living in 334 individual households.^[1]

Dunai is also another name for the Danube River in Europe. Another common spelling is Dunaj It has been found as a last/family name from the areas of Austria, Hungary, and the Ukraine.

Dunai settlement is name for settlement in Leningrad Oblast.
