Family
Storey grew up in a family of mixed heritage. He is the son of Anthony and Bessie Storey and the youngest of five children.
His father died when he was 10 years old, followed by his sister's death by car accident when he was 13 years old. [2]
His children, Isaiah and Chloe, are the son and daughter of he and his former wife, Cindy.
Education
Storey studied at Southeastern University[3] for three years and holds a Bachelor's of Arts Degree from Southern California College, now called Vanguard University.[4]
He has also received his doctorate of divinity from Bethany Theological Seminary.[5]
Career
Before Storey was known as a "life coach", he began teaching and praying for large masses of people as a traveling minister at 20 years old. He was discovered in an unusual manner by a minister, known as Dr. Cerullo, in a hotel restaurant. His first speaking engagement was in front of 15,000 people, overseas. Now, he is an ordained Evangelist (bringer of good news) who has traveled to approximately 60 countries.[6]
He has founded and currently operates the invitation-only Hollywood bible study called, "The Gathering," which has expanded to a bible study in Miami, Florida. The bible studies are specifically purposed for celebrities, such as actors, recording artists, athletes, writers, and other professionals of the entertainment industry.[7]
The Gathering was started in 1993, in the home of Dyan Cannon with seven attendees. Now, almost 1,000 people meet regularly for the bible studies.[8]
Storey seriously considered retiring from ministry, after the death of his brother, but did not tell anyone. Yet, suddenly, he was redirected by a fellow minister, after being invited to their home, and intuitively encouraged to continue his work.
Recognized work
He was invited to be a guest speaker at the 2007 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement.
He became the only person (evangelist), since Billy Graham, to speak to Congress about spiritual matters.
He was the officiating minister for the wedding of Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" and Beth Chapman.
He was a guest lecturer at Oral Roberts University at 25 years old.
He often meets privately and counsels high-profile leaders in various industries. Quincy Jones, Lee Iacocca, Kanye West, and Hillary Clinton are some of the people who have requested his meeting time.

USA Today called him "the pastor to the stars."[9]
