Ardglass Marina

Ardglass Marina

Ardglass Marina, also known as Phennick Cove Marina, is sited in Ardglass, County Down, one of three major fishing ports in Northern Ireland. Considerable improvements have been taking place over recent years making Ardglass one of the safest small harbours on the east cost of Ireland.

Features

The marina has approximately 80 berths [cite web | title=Ardglass Marina | work=Discover Northern Ireland | url=http://www.discovernorthernireland.com/product.aspx?ProductID=1858 | accessdate=2008-06-07] and is available for local and visiting yachts. It is sited just south of the Strangford Lough entrance, enabling yachts to berth and wait for a favourable tide into the Lough. It is also used as a stopover for yachts on passage north or south in the Irish Sea. The chain fixed pontoon is open 24 hours daily all year and provides good shelter within the small confines of the harbour. The harbour is divided by an outcrop of rocks and this separates the marina from the fishing harbour, due south.
