Don River Bridge Carries Motor vehicles Crosses Don River Locale Rannes, Queensland, Australia Material Reinforced concrete Construction begin expected end of 2011 Construction end expected mid-2013 Replaces Timber bridge The Don River Bridge is a road bridge over the Don River on the Leichhardt Highway near Rannes, Queensland, Australia.
The new concrete bridge is planned on a new and improved alignment of a 13 km section of the Leichhardt Highway. It will replace the existing low-level timber bridge which is prone to flooding. When completed a new higher bridge will improve flood immunity of this important rural highway.
Construction of the new bridge is expected to start by the end of 2011 and be completed in mid-2013.[1]
