The Bronx, New YorkOccupation Television writer, director writer Nationality American Donald Alan "Don" Brinkley (born March 9, 1921) is an award winning television writer, director and writer. He has written countless television shows and has had a career that has spanned over 55 years.
He has two biological children by his first wife, Lois, Jeff and Kim Brinkley, and two adopted children with Marge Brinkley, supermodel Christie Brinkley and nutritionist Greg Brinkley. Brinkley also has 6 grandchildren, including musician Alexa Ray Joel, and one great-grandson. He is also the ex-father-in-law of Billy Joel and Peter Cook.[1]
