Dominion Christian School is a Christian private school, and a member of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS). It is located in Oakton, Virginia.
History
Dominion Christian School opened its doors in September 1996. That event represented the culmination of a great deal of prayer and hard work, combined with a desire to establish a quality school founded upon a Christian worldview using the tools of a Classical methodology. The goal of Dominion Christian School is to instill its students a love for learning, and to provide an orderly and nurturing atmosphere in which these ideals can be achieved.
Education Philosophy
Dominion Christian School is an integral part of an ever-growing Classical Christian education movement in the United States and now globally. Its teaching method is based on the Trivium, which is denoted by three stages: Grammar, Dialectic (logic) and Rhetoric. [1][2] These stages follow the natural development of children and provide tools for knowledge, logic and persuasion.
