Diversity in the classroom

Diversity in the classroom

Diversity in the classroom is multiculturalism in the context of education.

Malaysia

Malaysia contains several distinct racial groups including Malays, Chinese and Indians. Over a hundred different languages are spoken.[1]

USA

The Supreme Court decision in the case of Brown v. Board of Education in 1954 forbade segregated education. Since that time, pupil populations have become more diverse racially. In many cases there is no majority group and classes may contain a mix of whites, blacks, Latinos and other races.[2][3]
