Talent shows

Unlike the U.S. Disney Channel, the UK and Ireland Disney Channel have their own talent shows. Popular ones include My Camp Rock and Hannah-Oke.

My Camp Rock

My Camp Rock was a competition where amateur singers could come on and audition singing Camp Rock songs. If they got through they would be performing in the live shows. The winner was Holly Hull. She recorded a cover of "This is Me" by Demi Lovato. It reached number 93 in the official UK charts.

My Camp Rock 2

My Camp Rock 2 was different to My Camp Rock. It featured only four singers, who had to perform in various places and sing Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam songs, and also take part in various challenges. No - one was eliminated until the final. The winner was Shannon Saunders. She recorded a cover of "Can't Back Down" by Demi Lovato. She also released a song, "I See the Light", for the Disney 2011 movie, Tangled. She is currently writing and recording for her debut album, which is set to be released around Winter 2011.

My School Musical 2

To tie in with the premiere of High School Musical 2 in 2007 this was a similar theme to My Camp Rock but High School Musical instead.

Club HSM

Four children had to see if they could perform in front of hundreds of people.

Hannah-Oke

A family was vs. a family on this show. What happened was that they had to sing a song from Hannah Montana all together, on key. The winners were a family from Coventry.

Shake It Up: Dance Dance is the current Disney Channel UK talent competition as of ^[1] Template:DISNEYDISNEY

Upcoming

Wanderful Wizards

An upcoming series, set to air in 2012 to tie in with the Wizards of Waverly Place series finale, will see budding magicians learn magic tricks and to see who the best 'wizard' is. Auditions will start in early 2012, with the show premiering in Late 2012. ^[2]
