Dilipnagar

Dilipnagar

Dilipnagar is a residential colony in Daman, India. It is the place where most of the elite as well as modest people in Daman stay. Compared to other parts of the city it is a developed area containing mostly low-rise apartments. Generally the limit is five to six floors (the limit being set up by the Daman municipality), this is because the Coast Guard Base/Daman Airport is situated just nearby.

The surrounding areas of the air base up to a radius of 1 km are left vacant for security reasons. These areas are mainly green grasslands with some tiny paddy fields. Thus from the rooftop or the top floor of most of the apartments one can get a view of the runway as well as the grassland.
